A Holiday Surprise!
Hi friends,
Our bonbon case has been looking very lonely lately at our Anderson shop and while we are still uncertain about the final closing at Golden Eye, we have some exciting news for you! Jess, our head chocolatier, is bringing you a limited holiday chocolate drop from her home kitchen under a new brand. Cocoa Coyote is now taking pre orders for holiday chocolate boxes for pick up at Golden Eye Anderson December 16-20th.
For those of you who have been missing Golden Eye, I hope this brings back a little bit of sparkle for the holiday season! Cocoa Coyote will continue to do small, seasonal chocolate drops throughout the year. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss out.

Stocking Update — November 7th, 2025
Hello Austin,
For anyone not up to date, we are closing both our physical locations. Our south location at Ghostline Kitchens is permanently closed, but we are still open here at our shop on W Anderson Lane with limited stock and hours. We will remain open for the foreseeable future, until we find someone to sublease our space - Our listing is available here.
Stop by and say hello to our head chocolatier Jess from 11am to 4pm, Tuesday-Friday. Browse our remaining bonbon flavors here. We are still offering small, clear boxes (3pc, 5pc, 6pc), small and large edible chocolate heart boxes, and 15 pc party trays. We have a variety of snack bars (Dubai bars still in stock) and barks. Sweet chocolaty spreads, chocolate records, and bourbon caramel cigars are also still hanging out. We are not able to do any custom orders at this time. Call us at 737-308-1012 for any questions. to check stock, or to place orders ahead.
As for the future we are still very much in limbo but will update you all when we have more details about firm closing dates and prospective endeavors. Jess is working on making chocolates in a limited capacity out of her home kitchen. We will update this page and our insta with any big news. Until then, stay loving chocolate.

SUMMER HOURS — June 24th, 2025
Hi friends,
While our South Kitchen is now permanently closed, our North retail shop on W Anderson will remain open until we find someone to sublease. We are ~ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR A SUBTENANT FOR OUR SPACE~ Our listing is available here if you’re interested.
As we enter summer, we’re updating our hours at our retail shop to Tuesday — Friday, 11am to 4pm. We will be open into mid-late September or perhaps longer. We will update month to month.
The shop is still stocked with plenty of options - grackle eggs, bars, and bonbons for build your own boxes and trays. Although we’ve ran out of most of our custom packaging (we still have 12 piece boxes!!) - we do have various sizes of clear boxes to build whatever kind of assortment you desire. [ 2pc, 3pc, 5pc & 6pc ]
While some of these sizes may not be available for online ordering, feel free to call or text us during business hours to place an order ahead of time.
We won’t be ordering any more bean-to-bar craft chocolate (Amano, Potomac, Fruition & Spring and Mulberry). These are some of our favorite US craft chocolate makers and we are proud to support them! If these are your favorites, come visit us and get them while you still can!

Stocking Update — June 5th, 2025
Dear Chocolate Lovers,
We want to thank you all for the positive feedback we’ve received over the last month since announcing our imminent closure! It has been a honor to share our treats with y’all.
Some exciting news! We’ve got enough chocolate left to keep our North Store going through the next month and we’re grateful we get to be here for a little while longer! As we enter summer, we’ll be shortening our north store hours while we sell the remaining chocolate we have stocked.
Our North Store hours for the month of June will be Tuesday — Friday, Noon to 6pm and Saturdays, Noon to 5pm. (with the exception of this Saturday June 7th, we will be closed!)
Our South Kitchen will be closing permanently at the end of the month & the last day to pick-up South will be Friday, June 20th.
Stocking Update: We’ll be stocking the store with as many of our pieces as we can for build your own boxes and trays. Although we’ve ran out of most of our original packaging (we still have 12 piece boxes!!) - we do have various sizes of clear boxes to build whatever kind of assortment you desire. Our selection in the store is the last we’ll ever have, it’s too hot to order more from our partners without risk of it melting. We have some extra special Father’s Day goodies online & in-store! We have some life-like wrenches, bourbon caramel cigars & a special 5pc Father’s Day collection, that includes Still Bourbon, Toasted Brown Butter, Rye Old Fashioned, Dubai Bite & a Rotating Single Origin.
We’ll be using all the ingredients we have left so keep your eyes on our instagram feed for limited edition releases (We’re working on a magically corn 🌽 bar that will be dropping very SOON) !! As stated before, we will continue creating chocolate works of art for you as long as we can.

A Goodbye For Now — May 2nd, 2025
To our family in Austin and beyond,
As cherished members of our community, we wanted to share a bit about upcoming changes here at Golden Eye Chocolates. As you may know, the chocolate industry worldwide has had significant troubles over the last two years. Severe floods and droughts in key countries that produce over 50% of the world’s chocolate have led to a significant loss of cacao crops and substantial price increases. This coupled with unforeseen delays in our kitchen construction has proven to be too costly for us to continue the business as it exists. We will be closing both our North and South Locations in the coming months.
Our last full service day at our Anderson retail Location will be Saturday May 31st, and the last day to pickup curbside orders at our south kitchen will be Friday June 20th. The last day to place a shipping order on our website will be this Tuesday May 6th. We may stay open at our Anderson location in a limited capacity while we wrap up some loose ends.
We are working on restructuring our business but many uncertainties lie ahead. We could use some love.
Place your orders for Mother’s Day, Teacher gifts, and any chocolates that you can’t live without . We’ve added some fun new products and will continue creating chocolate works of art for you as long as we can. We have had a blast bringing joy to our community through chocolate and appreciate every connection we have made.
